Uses
Risofos is used as a treatment and prevention against osteoporosis and paget`s disease.

This drug is a bisphosphonate that can be used by both men and women and it helps by reducing the action of the osteoclasts and slows down the loss of bone calcium.

Dosage and administration
Use Risofos as guided by your doctor only, self medicating on prescription medicine will increase the risks of side effects.

Do not change your dose, or stop taking this medication early without your doctor`s advice.

As a guide you may be directed to take Risofos half an hour before breakfast alongside plenty of water, remaining in an upright position for at least 30 minutes afterwards.

Never increase your dose of Risofos on this drug to compensate for missed doses.

• Bladder irritation
• Chest or back pain
• Nausea

Precautions
Tell your doctor if any of the following apply to you.

• You have any allergies
• You are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breast feeding
• You are taking any other medication, supplements, vitamins
• You drink alcohol and/or smoke tobacco
• You have had relevant health conditions such as hypocalcaemia, low calcium levels, kidney disease, or you are unable to stay in an upright position for more than 30 minutes
