Eptus (Eplerenone) | Eptus (Eplerenone) - 50mg (10 Tablets)

Uses
Eptus is primarily used to help prevent congestive heart failure following a heart attack. It may also be used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by altering the aldosterone hormone, which is an important blood pressure regulator, allowing the heart to function more efficiently and strengthen your heart.

Dosage and administration
Suitable dose will vary depending on the patient and the condition being treated. Strictly follow all directions from your doctor.

Dosage will usually range from 25mg to 50mg, take once or twice per day. Tablets can be taken either with or with food, but should always be taken alongside a large glass of water.

Side effects
Report all side effects to your doctor. Promptly report any which persist or worry you.

Mild side effects can include diarrhea, constipation, stomach pains, coughing, dizziness, tiredness, flu-like symptoms, vaginal bleeding, breast swelling or tenderness.

More serious side effects which should receive immediate medical treatment include:

• Symptoms of increased potassium such as slower heart rate, weakened pulse, weak muscles, and tingling sensations.
• Symptoms of low potassium such as confusion, unbalanced heart rate, severe thirst, increased urination, weak muscles, and limp limbs.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, swelling, hives, and rashes.

Precautions
Eptus may not be suitable for all patients. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding. Disclose details of any of the following:

• Any other drugs, medication, supplements, vitamins, or herbal products which you are also taking
• Any other medical conditions or illnesses you have
• Any allergies you have
