Uses
Finalo is most commonly used to help manage hair loss for male patients. This drug is not a cure for baldness, once the patient stops using it they will usually notice hair loss resuming. It works to block a form of male testosterone called DHT from forming. It is this hormone which causes most cases of male baldness, and by inhibiting this hormone the hair follicles are given opportunity to recover and re-grow naturally.
Dosage and administration
Typically Finalo is taken either with or without food, alongside a full glass of water. For best results aim to always take Finalo at the same time(s) each day.
Finalo can take some time to take effect, and must be taken consistently to allow the drug to work.
Side effects
Side effects, although generally uncommon, occur in 1-2% of patients using Finasteride products such as Finalo. Call your doctor promptly if you suffer any side effect as he/she may wish to adjust your dosage. Below are some of the more commonly reported side effects.
If you think you may be experiencing an allergic reaction seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include swelling, tight chest, difficulty breathing or swallowing, skin rashes, and hives.
Precautions
Finalo may not be suitable for all patients. Before you start taking it, ensure your doctor is aware of any of the following which may apply to you.
If you have any upcoming surgeries inform your surgeon that you are taking Finalo. It is essentially you do this, as the this medication may interfere with anesthesia you are.
It is also essential you inform your doctor if you are having a prostate examination, or being screened for prostate cancer.
Finalo is not suitable for use by female patients. In addition, woman who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not handle Finalo tablets, especially if they may have broken or crumbled slightly. If you do come into contact with the tablets, immediately wash your hands and contact your doctor. Finalo can cause birth defects in male babies.
