Imatib

Uses
Imatib (Imatinib) is typically used to stop cancer cells from growing and spreading in patients who have certain types of cancer. Some examples include myeloidleukemia or gastrointestinal stromal tumors.

Dosage and administration
Use Imatib (Imatinib) as directed by your doctor only. Do not change your prescription in any way even if you start feeling better.

If you want to end your prescription pre-maturely, do so only after consulting with your doctor for the best procedure.

Correct prescription is dependent on your medical history and the severity of the condition you are treating.

Your doctor may direct you to take Imatib (Imatinib) with food and water, do not eat or drink any grapefruit based substances whilst using this drug as this can lead to interactions.

You should not double-up a dose of Imatib (Imatinib) to make up for missed doses.

Side effects
Below are some potential side effects from using Imatib (Imatinib):

• Indigestion
• High level of acid in the stomach, belching, feeling full or gassy or bloated (passing gas)
• Sadness, feeling deflated, a decrease of interest generally
• Unusually cold
• Problems with movement
• Difficulty with sleeping, insomnia
• Stiff muscles
• Loose stools
• Decrease of weight
• Heartburn

Speak to your doctor if you notice any of these side effects.

Precautions
During your medical consultation, tell your doctor if you are:

• Allergic to anything
• Pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
• Using any other prescription or non-prescription medications, supplements or vitamins
• Eating or drinking any grapefruit products, smoking tobacco or drinking alcohol

Currently sick with any conditions, plus your full medical history, conditions of interest are anemia, problems with your while blood cells, retention of organ fluid, under active thyroid, chicken pox, diseases of the heart, kidney or liver, any infections.
