Uses
Levorid is an antihistamine that is non-drowsy and used to treat allergies such as hay fever. As well as treating the allergy itself, it can help to relieve the symptoms that are associated with allergic reactions, including symptoms such as watery eyes, sneezing, skin reactions, congested nose or runny nose, itching, swelling and rashes.
Dosage and administration
Use Levorid as suggested by your doctor only. Do not change your doctor’s prescription as correct dosage is highly dependent on your own health condition, response to therapy, and other external factors your doctor needs to assess.
Swallow each tablet whole, with or without food. Typical you will be instructed to take Levorid once a day in the evening.
If you miss a tablet, take as soon as you remember. Normally there should be a gap of 24 hours between each dose.
Children aged 6-11 should not be given more than 2.5mg in any 24 hour day.
When taking Levorid you should notice improvements fairly quickly. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve you should contact your doctor as soon as you are able to.
Side effects
The most common side effects of Levorid are dry mouth, headaches, sleep disturbances, tiredness and drowsiness. It is worth noting however that these side effects affect less than 1 in 10 users of this medicine.
