Rosulip

Uses
Rosulip (Rosuvastatin) is prescribed to help patients with high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol (also known as hypertension). It works by decreasing triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein, while simultaneously increasing the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in your body. Lowering blood pressure and cholesterol drastically reduces the risks of heart related conditions, blood vessel problems, or strokes occurring.

Dosage and administration
Always seek the advice of your doctor to ascertain the correct dosage and method of use for you.

Rosulip is normally taken once per day, either with or without food. Patients should aim to take it at roughly the same time each day. Swallow the tablets whole and do not crush, split, or dissolve them.

Keep all appointments with your doctor as it is recommended patient's progress is closely monitored when taking this medication.

Side effects
If any side effects persist, worsen, bother you, or worry you need to inform your doctor promptly. The most commonly reported side effects are:

• Pains of burning when urinating.
• Headaches
• Loss of short-term memory
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Dizziness
• Weakness
• Fatigue

• Urine colour change or quantity increase
• Muscle or chest pains
• Jaundice
• Flu symptoms

If you suffer any of the more serious side effects above or have an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention.

Precautions
Patients of Asian race may absorb the medicine faster than patients of other races, and should therefore be prescribed a relative lower dosage.

Patients may be advised to use additional means of birth control whilst taking this drug. Consult your doctor for further advise.

Always disclose the following to your doctor before you begin using this Rosulip.

• If you have any existing conditions such as liver or kidney disease, an underactive thyroid gland, muscular problems, seizures or epilepsy, an electrolyte imbalance, or any infections.
• If you are taking any other medication including all off-the-shelf drugs, supplements, and vitamins.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you have any allergies.
